| Abstract | The following report presents an overview of the design and testing of Marine Evacuation Systems, particularly Marine Evacuation Chutes and Marine Evacuation Slides. Governing the design and performance of these systems are the regulatory requirements set forth by national and international organizations, and these have been outlined within the proceeding chapters. A severe lack of regulatory regime and available modelling programs has lead to a need for detailed testing of this equipment. The scope of this report is to present the information available today pertaining to; the design of each system, the regulatory regime and the past and future testing that has or should be conducted. |
