Résumé | Physical model simulations are commonly used to study problems that are not sufficiently understood and to provide information on which engineering design can be based. Models of small floating bodies present a particular challenge since due to their diminutive size they cannot carry on-board instrumentation. The only practical way of measuring motions of these small models is by means of computer vision. This paper describes a stereo computer vision system developed for tracking and measurement of six degrees of freedom motion of model wave buoy models and ice growler models. |
