AbstractThis contract is to investigate the motion of a bubbly flow behind a ship generated by the ship propeller stream, as well as to study the interaction between the bubbly flow and ice fragments for ice clearance of the ship channel. A physical model has been set up to study the generation of the bubbly flow behind the ship. A mathematical model has also been instituted. Based on this mathematical model, a computer simulation program has been developed to illustrate the bubbly flow under various conditions.
