Abstract | The study of small unvented appliances now reported arose out of earlier work on the climate likely to exist in family basement fallout shelters. It was decided that some provision should be made for emergency winter heating as well as for cooking and lighting in such shelters and that a liquid fuel, preferably kerosine, should be stored for this purpose. |
