AbstractWind induced pressures on commercial building envelopes are dynamic. Existing evaluation protocols are limited to static conditions. Through a North American roofing consortium, the Special Interest Group for Dynamic Evaluation of Roofing Systems - SIGDERS, the National Research Council of Canada is developing a test standard for evaluating roofing systems under dynamic conditions. This paper presents results from this on going research effort.
