Abstract | Lime mortars used in some fine masonry buildings built during the past century are still in good condition. This excellent durability is contradicted by the early deterioration of these mortars in laboratory freeze-thaw tests. This may be due to inadequate curing prior to testing, and/or severe conditions of the test. |
