Abstract | This report describes the results of a study at the Green Creek landslide near Ottawa. Laboratory and field data have been included for completeness but have not been discussed in detail. Emphasis has been placed on a stability analysis of the landslide site; in particular, a slope located west of the landslide crater. The apparent factor of safety of this slope is in the order of 2.5. If the actual factor of safety is close to unity (the original slope in the slide area would have had this value) it will be necessary to revise the normal interpretation of parameters for shear strength and pore pressure for the soil at this site. |
