Abstract | This study was designed to gather information on the type and extent of the patient moving problem in order to describe to building designers and building code committees the difficulties faced in emergency egress via stretchers with the goal of eliminating or at least reducing the problems faced by ambulance attendants and their patients. Information presented on the maneuvering of stretchers include the dimensions of doors, corridors, elevators and stairs. |
