AbstractA scale model of an FM antenna to be used by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has been built and tested on a scale-model tower. The model antenna was scaled from the 12-element Multi-V FM antenna of the Andrew Antenna Co., Ltd. The azimuth radiation pattern of the antenna alone is essentially circular. The object of the tests was to position the antenna on the tower so that the circularity of the pattern would be preserved. No such ideal position appears to be available, and the best pattern obtained with the antenna mounted on the tower (on the center line of a face) has an 8½ db minimum on the side of the tower opposite from the antenna.
