Abstract
Superabsorbent polymers (SAP) possess a number of features that make them attractive for use in many different applications. The aim of this chapter is to present existing and foreseen opportunities for the use SAP in many different functions to improve the performance and durability of the built environment. Two case studies are also presented in this chapter: one on a thin-wall architectur-al structure in Germany, and another on shotcreting of wall panels in Denmark.
