Abstract | Data collected for two heating seasons at the passive solar test facility are presented for two-zone and single-zone direct-gain units. The effects of solar gain, thermal storage mass and the building's thermal load on the utilization of solar gains to satisfy space heating requirements are examined. The use of experimental data for verifying energy-related calculations for direct-gain passive solar houses is illustrated. |
