AbstractThis paper describes the evolution of Visualizer, a prototype tool for calculating the remaining service life of specific types of building assets and components. Visualizer is an interactive, graphical application that reads data from different sources and presents the accumulated data to the decision-makers in a user-friendly format. The paper discusses and compares several of the service life prediction methods used in Visualizer.
