AbstractThis report deals with a preliminary experimental investigation of the effects of simulated steel corrosion on the structural behaviour of slab-column connections in flat plate construction. Both ordinary-reinforced and post-tensioned slabs were investigated. Twelve isolated slab-column specimens were tested to failure under punching load.
