Abstract
One of the recommendations of the NRC-sponsored Study on Fire Prevention and Control Systems in Canada was that the National Research Council of Canada convoke a congress of provincial government delegates made up of individuals responsible for fire protection in each province and territory, to consider the report and the recommendation that a Canada-wide representative fire council be established. Following the advice of the authorities responsible for fire matters in the provinces and territories, NRC joined with the Association of Canadian Fire Marshals and Fire Commissioners in the holding of a meeting to achieve this purpose. This report is the record of that meeting.
