Abstract
Imagine users searching your online catalogue from the same browser interface they use for Google, or automatically finding the appropriate local electronic copy when looking at search results from Google Scholar. Richard Akerman describes how to extend many different web browsers by adding new code modules (plugins, ActiveX controls, bookmarklets, etc.) and shows demonstrations of Quick arch keywords, search plugins, bookmarklets, sidebars and extensions using the Firefox web browser.
