AbstractThe science of designing and evaluating rooms for speech and music is currently in a state of change. Several types of new acoustical measures have become accepted as important correlates of subjective evaluations of the acoustical properties of a hall. While there are many gaps in our knowledge, it is clear that we have to learn to design and evaluate halls in terms of these new quantities.
