Abstract | Statistical interpretation of tests on concrete is commonplace today and is explicit or implicit in the requirements of many codes and standards. Some of these requirements are not fully rational insofar as they do not consider both the consumer's risk and the producer's risk. The concept of the "operating characteristic" is not new to statistical theory, but has not generally been applied to concrete. This translated paper discusses the subject thoroughly and makes proposals for improved methods of assessing the results of concrete tests. |
