Abstract
Construction related R and D expenditures in Canada are estimated for the period 1968-1980. Various methods of determining the adequacy of R and D in construction are discussed. It is suggested that linkages of construction R and D with other sectors of the economy be studied and rates of return on R and D in construction compared with those in other sections before deciding the proper levels of R and D in construction.
