Abstract	The performance of the load measuring panels and data acquisition system installed on the Yamachiche Bend lightpier in Lac St. Pierre in the early 1970's was evaluated and found to be inadequate. The panels were modified to improve their low range sensitivity and a new data acquisition system was installed. Operation of the system was monitored during the 1983-84 winter and some preliminary results are described in this paper.
