Abstract	Salt spray has always been one of the chief sources of deterioration of equipment at sea. It must be noted that the following report entails only methods of reducing corrosion, not a complete cure. Further, these methods are only satisfactory in the presence of salt spray and should not be used where equipment is to be immersed in salt water.
