AbstractThis is the second edition of a basic "Who's Who" of leading construction R & D organizations in Canada. The first -- also compiled for the Institute for Research in Construction by Revay and Associates Limited -- was based on 1987 data. It in turn followed a comprehensive national survey in 1982-83 reported on in "Construction RD & D in Canada". Construction and RD & D were broadly defined at that time as the entire range of activities in the construction process throughout a project's life cycle. The present compilation is based on 1992 activities. "Construction" has again been broadly defined to include all types of building and engineering construction projects and "Construction R & D" to include research and development work related to all aspects of the construction process.
