Abstract | Light usage in a multi-storey office building was monitored over a one-year period using a recently developed light usage monitoring device. The effects of several factors important to light usage were analyzed. Estimates of light usage for different switching arrangements were also obtained, and comparisons were made of energy consumption and simple pay-back periods. The utility of the light monitoring device for measuring light usage was also examined. |
