AbstractThis paper describes the use of infrared thermography (IR) to determine surface temperatures of windows without disturbing heat transfer boundaries adjacent to those surfaces. The tests were made on the glass and frame members of two window units and a calibration transfer standard unit. The IR results were compared with thermocouple temperature measurements at specific locations on the surface of the assemblies to measure glass and frame surface temperatures.
