AbstractWalls made from 44 different types of concrete masonry units were subjected to fire endurance tests. Three semiempirical formulas were used to express the fire endurance of these walls as a function of three geometric variables and two thermal properties which characterize the shape and material of the constituent masonry units. A numerical example is included to show the application of the formulas.
