Abstract | This study is aimed at investigating the connection between annual energy consumption in office buildings and the number of operating hours per year, low levels of partial occupancy and the use of office space for extended hours during heating and cooling seasons. Finally, a simple method of adjusting the reference energy budgets of this class of building is suggested to compensate for various annual hours of office space operation other than that used in the reference energy budgets. |
