Abstract | A novel technique for ultrasonic determination of filler concentration in polymers has been proposed and tested. The new technique senses the overall effect of the filler on the polymer flow behavior and uses this effect to infer the filler concentration. An in-line calibration process has been proposed and implemented for the application of the technique. An average estimation accuracy of better than 0.4% in weight on filler concentration has been achieved. |
