Abstract | This report is the result of a short survey sent to InfraGuide committees and volunteers on May 25, 2005. The purpose of the survey was to collect information on the practitioner's point of view on Climate Change & Municipal Infrastructure. The information obtained through the survey was used at a Discussion Panel during the annual CSA conference in Kelowna, BC on June 21st, 2005. Of the 44 e-mailed surveys, there were 22 responses. As this is not a statistically valid approach, the information obtained is intended to provide a very general indication of some views and anecdotal experiences held by municipal practitioners and will not be used independently to shape InfraGuide strategic direction, products or policies. Climate Change and Municipal Infrastructure is a growing area of research and discourse for which this report represents but one of many emerging new studies on this important subject. The information provided in this report are to be used for exploratory and awareness purposes only. |
