AbstractThis report describes the principle and development of a Multiple Variables Polynomia Regression program, and demonstrates an application of the program in PMM data analysis. A new PMM test, dynamic rudder test has also been described and suggested as a substitution of static rudder tests. A criteria ( δ˙< 0.4 ) is recommended as a guidline in conducting the dynamic rudder test. A new PMM test design suggested in the present study cuts a set PMM tests from tens carriage runs to four carriage runs only. The four carriage runs are a dynamic rudder, a harmonic sway, a harmonic yaw, and a combined run. Summaries on the present study and suggestions for future improvements have also been provided in this report.
