Abstract | The buildup of contaminants in the air in buildings is usually controlled by providing a continuous supply of " fresh" air and exhausting an equal amount of "used air". Carbon dioxide concentrations in the classrooms of a small elementary school were measured for one week in February when the outside air-supply damper was closed. The concentrations were well below the maximum accepted standard and fuel oil consumption was substantially reduced. |
